This swiss roll cake has a light and fluffy chocolate sponge rolled around a cream cheese whipped filling and covered in chocolate ganache frosting. It serves ~8 people.
 
The Buche de Noel is supposed to resemble a freshly fallen tree in the forest. The cake is decorated accordingly with fondant holly berries, meringue mushrooms and sparkly snow (powdered sugar and edible glitter).
 
Decorations can be arranged on cake if you'll be serving it same day. If you plan on serving it on a different day , the cake should be refrigerated until an hour before serving and the decorations will be packaged on the side and should be kept at room temperature.
